Lazy Anansi is a very common character in traditional Ghanaian folktales. These characters are made human-like and each is given its own personality. The environments in which these characters live are abstract and geometric because myths are not tied to any physical or realistic time or place. This is fitting for the content of the folktale, which is a cautionary tale that carries weight no matter where it takes place.
